Okyanos’ adult stem cell treatment facility is located in the city of Freeport on Grand Bahama Island, about 60 miles from the US coast of Florida or one short, direct flight from Miami. The Okyanos team is dedicated to ensuring you and your family have a positive experience both while you enjoy the island and while under our care.
About Grand Bahama Island
The official language of The Bahamas is English, and the currency used is the Bahamian dollar which is equal to one US dollar. As a result of this fixed exchange rate, US dollars are widely accepted on the Island.
The Bahamian Government remains committed to providing world class medical care, and as such has passed legislation which allows and regulates adult stem cell treatment using patients’ own fat-derived stem and regenerative cells for the treatment of various conditions. Okyanos is fully licensed and accredited by this governing agency, the National Stem Cell Ethics Committee (NSCEC).
Our Patient Liaisons and Patient Concierge are committed to the ease and comfort of your and your family’s travel to The Bahamas. We have preferred arrangements with the Lighthouse Pointe all-inclusive resort close to our facility, and our dedicated travel agents at CrissCross Tours & Travel, Inc., will assist you in arranging all logistics of your trip including airline reservations, lodging and ground transportation.
