Dr. Michael PriceMichael Price, MD, serves as Orthopedic Specialist and Cell Therapy and Regenerative Medicine Specialist at Okyanos. Board certified in both orthopedic surgery and regenerative medicine, Dr. Price has routinely trained physicians worldwide in key factors necessary to achieve benefit with adult stem cell therapy for orthopedics and sports medicine.

After graduating high school at the age of 16, Dr. Price went on to graduate with honors from the Georgia Institute of Technology where he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Biology. He then graduated with honors from the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Price’s general surgery and orthopedic surgery internships were completed at the Georgia Baptist Medical Center. During his time at college, Dr. Price invented a back support intended for use by patients with back pain in the seated position. During his orthopedic surgery residency, he invented an implantable device for sacroiliac spinal joint fusions.

Dr. Price was formerly the Chief of Surgery at Coffee Medical Center located in Georgia and later founded the Family Orthopedic Center. In 2005, Dr. Price received a formal commendation from the Veterans Administration Hospital System for assisting the government in the oversight of medical treatment for wounded soldiers. During his time at the VA hospital he was an assistant professor at the Emory University School of Medicine where he taught young orthopedic surgeons how to master their surgical skills. As an invited guest lecturer at the Georgia Institute of Technology he taught doctorate level prosthetic students how to properly understand the anatomy of amputated limbs and pursue cell therapy advancements to improve the lives of amputees.

Prior to joining the Okyanos team, Dr. Price was based in Beverly Hills, California where he worked in orthopedic regenerative medicine. In addition to being a published author as well as an internationally recognized speaker, Dr. Price is a Diplomat of the American Academy and Board of Regenerative Medicine as well as a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery and a member of the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine.
