Dr. Nicolas ChronosDr. Nicolas Chronos is an interventional cardiologist who is noted for his pioneering research in the treatment of heart disease. As a Physician Advisor on the Okyanos Advisory Council, his expertise in cardiac regenerative medicine, cardiovascular medical device assessment and translational cardiovascular medicine is a significant and highly valued asset to the Okyanos team.

Dr. Chronos currently practices general cardiology, preventative cardiology, coronary artery disease management and heart failure management at his Cardiology Care Clinic in Lake Oconee, Georgia. Dr. Chronos is a graduate of the Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine in London and completed specialized training in cardiology and subsequently interventional cardiology at the Royal Brompton National Heart and Lung Institute in the UK. Dr. Chronos has also published several books, more than 200 peer-reviewed articles and authored a series of patents in the medical device field.

Leslie W. Miller, MD, FAHA, FACC

Dr. Leslie Miller serves as a consulting physician for Okyanos’ advanced cardiac stem cell treatments. As an internationally renowned cardiologist specializing in heart failure and transplantation, Dr. Miller’s recent focus has been on regenerative medicine and the use of adult stem cells and targeted gene therapies to repair and recover heart function.

Dr. Miller is board-certified in both Cardiology and Internal Medicine (ABIM).

Dr. Miller earned his medical degree from the University of Missouri, Columbia, Medical School in 1974.  As an investigator in more than 80 clinical trials, his widely published research focuses on innovative heart failure treatments, including the use of adult stem cell therapy in the treatment of patients with cardiovascular disease and heart failure. Dr. Miller resides in Tampa, where he is currently Director of the Heart Failure clinic for Baycare Health System.
