Howard T. Walpole, Jr., MD, MBA, FACC, FACAI
Chief Medical Officer
Howard Walpole, MD, serves as the interventional cardiologist and chief medical officer at Okyanos Heart Institute. Dr. Walpole is a prominent U.S. educated cardiologist.
In his 25 years of practice, Dr. Walpole has done approximately 5,000 catheter-based interventions and 12,000 diagnostic catheterizations as well as myocardial biopsies.
Gretchen Dezelick, RN, BSN, CNOR, LHCRM
Director of Nursing
As the director of nursing, Gretchen Dezelick oversees all of the clinical operations and maintains the superior cleanliness and safety standards that make Okyanos Heart Institute a center of excellence.
With more than 25 years of nursing experience progressing from bedside nursing to administrative and management positions in a variety of healthcare settings, Gretchen was a Certified Critical Care Nurse (CCRN) for more than 20 years and has been a Certified Peri-Operative Nurse (CNOR) for three years.
